Basic Life Support (BLS) - First Time and Renewals

The Basic Life Support course is built for healthcare and clinical settings, covering CPR and AED procedures with one and two rescuers for adult, pediatric, and infant emergencies. Both first-time and renewal participants receive the same training, ensuring you’re up to date on the most recent skills and techniques straight from the Red Cross.

: Each certification has multiple components required to certify. Generally, most certifications take up to approximately 4 hours to complete, including all elements. The time it takes to certify may be more or less than this time depending on competency. Throughout the course process, you'll be allowed to practice the essential techniques, ask questions, and feel confident in your life-saving skills. On-site, the use of mandatory videos, skill instruction and practice, and testing will be conducted.
: Yes. All certifications are issued by the American Red Cross. All American Red Cross certifications require the use of mannequins with feedback, breathing devices, and other life-saving tools, combined with instructor education and observation.
: Once you enroll and pay, you’ll be sent specific instructions regarding your certification type and what you need to do to certify. This will include the use of required cognitive learning, mannequins with feedback devices, breathing tools, and a training AED, among other items.
